Accessing the AWS Console

1. Navigate to https://moj.awsapps.com/start
2. You will see a list of AWS accounts you have access to. Click on the account you want to access.
3. Choose the role you want to use. Container Platform roles are prefixed with cp- and then your GitHub team name, for example, cp-my-first-team or cp-my-second-team.
4. Your console and cluster API permissions depend on the role you choose.

Accessing the Cluster API

1. Navigate to https://moj.awsapps.com/start
2. Select the AWS account you want to access.
3. Next to the role that you want to use, click on the Access keys link. This will give you options to get your temporary access keys.

4. Using the access keys, you can configure your local kubectl to access the cluster API. You can use the following command to set up your kubeconfig:

   aws eks --region <region> update-kubeconfig --name <cluster-name> --alias my-cluster
   

Note: this assumes you have copied the temporary access keys into local environment variables. You can also use the --profile option to specify a named profile if you have multiple AWS profiles configured, and SSO commands to log in to AWS and retrieve temporary credentials. 1. Set the cluster context to the cluster you want to access:

   kubectl config use-context my-cluster
   

2. Run your kubectl commands to interact with the cluster API. For example, you can list the namespaces in the cluster:

   kubectl get namespaces
